Complete Care
Customized Rehab for Men
Hope Valley’s Gender-Separate Homes provide specialized residential treatment for Veterans and Active Duty servicemembers in a supportive, trauma-informed environment. Located on two private acres in Wasilla, Alaska, our newly built facilities offer peaceful, rural surroundings that promote healing, connection, and personal growth.
Our men’s homes accommodate a maximum of six residents each, maintaining a 5:1 client-to-clinician ratio for highly individualized care. Rooms are semi-private to foster camaraderie while allowing personal space and comfort.
Our Methodology
Evidence-Based Treatment Approach
Our treatment approach at Hope Valley integrates research-based clinical treatment with complete wellness programs, providing personalized care for veterans and active-duty service members. Our team of master’s-level therapists, addiction counselors, doctors, nurses, and support staff – including veterans themselves – delivers trauma-informed treatment through established methods.
Our men receive treatment through Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Mindfulness-Based Interventions, and ART (Accelerated Resolution Therapy). They also learn about the neurobiology of addiction. These evidence-based methods help identify harmful thinking patterns, transform them, manage stress, and build lasting emotional resilience.
Men participate in weekly activities with Battle Dawgs, featuring holistic wellness programs and outdoor experiences that promote mental and physical well-being. This partnership blends clinical therapy with experiential healing to restore purpose, physical strength, and social connections.
Our program helps men discover personalized recovery resources and support networks for long-term sobriety.

Our Holistic Approach
Whole Person Therapy and Experiential Activities
At Hope Valley, recovery means treating the whole person: mental, physical, and spiritual health together. Our program pairs evidence-based clinical care with daily physical activity that helps men manage stress, rebuild strength, and steady themselves. For many veterans and active-duty service members, it is where a sense of purpose starts to come back.
Our partnership with Battle Dawgs enables residents to join wellness programs, which provide Veterans and Active Duty Servicemembers with three distinct experiences:
1. Nature-based activities.
2. Animal therapy.
3. Team-building exercises that help them develop social skills and self-assurance.
Hope Valley offers a wide range of therapeutic activities that support mind and body together, including equine-assisted therapy, yoga, acupuncture, art therapy, and Family Fitness sessions, all aimed at building balance, healing, and resilience.

What Sets Us Apart
Why Choose Hope Valley
Hope Valley is a residential treatment facility serving only veterans and active-duty servicemembers across the United States. Our trauma-informed, evidence-based care is delivered in a serene Alaska setting where healing, connection, and purpose are restored.
- Hope Valley is family-run and independent, built on a founding organization with nearly 40 years in veteran and behavioral health care. That heritage keeps our focus where it belongs: honest, compassionate, individualized treatment rather than corporate volume.
- Through TriWest, TRICARE, and the VA, most clients pay little to nothing out of pocket for covered treatment. Our admissions team verifies your exact benefits before admission, at no charge, so there are no surprises.
- Hope Valley alumni continue receiving support through our Lifetime Aftercare Program and Workforce Development initiatives, helping them reintegrate successfully into communities with ongoing guidance, purpose, and connection.
