Residential Addiction Treatment & Rehab for Veterans & Active Duty in Alaska
Partnered with Battle Dawgs
Welcome to Hope Valley
About Our Addiction Rehab
At Hope Valley, we treat Veterans and active duty service members who suffer from the invisible wounds of service. Our program addresses issues like substance use, trauma, PTSD, moral injury, depression, and anxiety, as well as their impacts on individuals’ lives and their families. We are familiar with the culture, language, and experiences of those who have served in the military and have developed our program to meet Veterans where they are. While there may be challenges along the way, we are here to support and accommodate each individual in their journey to healing. With a client satisfaction rate of over 95%, we are proud of the care that we provide to each Veteran according to their unique needs. Whether the Veteran is seeking care for themselves or for a loved one, our mission is to provide the support needed to create a strong and lasting foundation for sobriety.
We Are Recovery Experts
ART (Accelerated Resolution Therapy)
We’re excited to introduce ART (Accelerated Resolution Therapy) as our new cornerstone for trauma resolution, replacing therapies like Brainspotting and EMDR. ART is a highly effective, evidence-based therapy that rapidly eliminates the emotional distress associated with trauma in 1-5 sessions. ART uses techniques like eye movements and imagery rescripting to change how the brain stores traumatic memories, eliminating the need for clients to retell their traumatic experiences. When combined with the other evidenced-based and experiential therapies we use, ART allows clients to overcome their past traumas and take back control of their lives.
What Sets Us Apart
Why Choose Hope Valley?
Hope Valley was created specifically for Veterans and active duty military personnel, with this as its entire mission and not an add-on track as with some other facilities.
Our residential addiction rehab program is housed in new construction homes on two rural acres of land located in Wasilla, Alaska.
Each house is small and gender-separate, holding no more than six residents. The facility accepts only TRICARE and TriWest insurance. In addition to its housing missions, Hope Valley partners with Battle Dawgs for wellness experiences for its residents. Veterans who complete their time at the facility can join the alumni program, which offers workforce development courses to give them purpose and support as they rejoin their communities.
Unparalleled Support from Experienced Professionals
At Hope Valley, your recovery is our highest priority. We provide small, Veteran focused homes with an experienced and highly engaged clinical team. Through our trauma-informed care program and full-time, onsite clinical support, you will feel safe, seen, and supported throughout the entirety of your recovery journey.
Engaging and Enjoyable Activities
In addition to our trauma-informed, evidence-based treatments, we also provide holistic therapies for both the mind and body. Through our partnership with Battle Dawgs, our Veterans and active duty service members are able to enjoy nature-based wellness activities that will reduce their stress and increase their sense of purpose in their lives. Through these activities, Veterans in our program will develop a deeper connection with nature, animals, and their fellow Veterans also on the path towards recovery.
A Warm and Supportive Atmosphere
Hope Valley offers small residences for Veterans and active duty service members (no more than six residents per house) in separate, gender-specific homes for men and women. These homes are designed to be warm, nurturing, and non-institutional, providing a sense of community and belonging between the residents. The separate, gender-specific nature of the homes also allows for honest conversations and relationships between the residents of each home.
Exceptional Staff
At Hope Valley, our clinical team consists of full-time, master's-level therapists and certified addiction specialists, most of whom are also Veterans with experience in the healthcare field. Our staff is dedicated to providing trauma-informed, evidence-based care specifically designed for Veterans and active duty service members. Some of the treatments we offer include ART, Seeking Safety, and Contingency Management. All of these treatments are provided within our small, gender-specific homes on our private campus in rural Alaska.
Comprehensive Lifetime Aftercare Support
At Hope Valley, we believe that recovery is a journey, not an event. For both Veterans and active duty service members, their recovery journey extends beyond their time in our treatment program. Our alumni program offers lifetime aftercare support and workforce development programs that will allow Veterans to successfully re-integrate into their communities and their civilian lives after completing treatment at Hope Valley.
