What Sets Us Apart
Why Choose Hope Valley?
Hope Valley was created specifically for Veterans and active duty – not as an add-on track, but as our entire mission. Our facilities are new-construction homes in Wasilla, Alaska, set on two private rural acres with small, gender-separate houses that hold no more than six residents each, allowing for true community and individualized attention. We accept only TRICARE and TriWest, partner closely with Battle Dawgs for immersive wellness experiences, and offer an alumni program with workforce development to help you return to your community with purpose, structure, and support.
Unparalleled Support from Experienced Professionals
Your recovery is our priority. With small, Veteran‑focused homes and a highly engaged clinical team, you’ll receive focused attention, compassionate support, and expert guidance throughout your healing journey. Our program is built on trauma‑informed care and close clinician involvement, with full‑time onsite support to help you feel safe, seen, and supported every step of the way.
Engaging and Enjoyable Activities
We move beyond traditional treatment by integrating holistic therapies that support healing for both mind and body. In partnership with Battle Dawgs, our clients engage in nature‑based wellness activities that help reduce stress, build resilience, and reconnect with purpose. Through time outdoors, therapeutic movement, and experiential wellness practices, you’ll strengthen emotional wellness and deepen your connection with nature, animals, and your fellow Veterans on the path to recovery.
A Warm and Nurturing Environment
Hope Valley offers small, home‑like residences for Veterans and active duty service members, with no more than six residents per house and separate gender‑specific homes for men and women. This creates a calm, non‑institutional environment that feels more like a motivated team than a clinical facility. The close‑knit setting builds trust, connection, and belonging, while the intimate, gender‑specific environment supports honest conversations and meaningful relationships that strengthen your recovery.
Exceptional Staff
The clinical team includes dedicated, full‑time, master’s‑level therapists and certified addiction specialists, with most clinicians and leaders being Veterans who have experience working in healthcare. They are focused on delivering consistent, trauma‑informed, evidence‑based care tailored to Veterans and active duty service members, using therapies like EMDR, ART, Seeking Safety, and Contingency Management - all within our small, gender‑specific homes on a private rural campus in Alaska.
Comprehensive Lifetime Aftercare Support
Recovery is seen as an ongoing process, not a single event. For Veterans and active duty service members, that journey continues long after treatment ends. Our alumni program provides lifelong aftercare support, peer connection, and a workforce development component designed to help Veterans build skills, find meaningful work, and successfully reintegrate into their communities and civilian life.

FAQs
How Can I Pay for Treatment?
Many alcohol and drug rehab centers advertise that “insurance is accepted,” but the fine print often reveals you must bill your insurance yourself. This means they are not preferred providers, leaving you responsible for the full cost upfront - a major risk when facing tens of thousands in expenses during early recovery.
At Hope Valley, we make payment simple and secure for veterans and active-duty military:
VA Direct Referral
Most veterans come directly from the VA. We'll handle your referral and authorization.
TriWest / Self-Pay Welcome
All veterans accepted via TriWest or self-pay - 100% coverage, zero out-of-pocket.
Active Duty TRICARE
TRICARE accepted for active-duty clients. Seamless verification.
At Hope Valley, there is no fine print when we say your coverage is accepted. We verify benefits for veterans and active-duty military, telling you exactly what out-of-pocket expenses to expect during pre-admission.
We never charge more than your copay or deductible for covered services and maximize authorizations from TriWest or TRICARE.
Billing your insurance is handled entirely by us, so you can focus on recovery. In most cases TriWest/Tricare cover up to 100% of costs with zero out-of-pocket. Call Us Now for a confidential verification and begin your journey today.
If you do not have insurance or prefer self-pay, please reach out for a confidential call to discuss treatment options and costs for veterans and active-duty military at Hope Valley.
