Veterans Treatment Program Serving Eagle River, Alaska

Hope Valley is not a large facility. Each gender-separate home can accommodate up to six individuals on two private acres in Wasilla. Its size is beneficial to our program. Because of its small size, our clinical staff can get to know each individual who is a part of the program. Furthermore, every individual in our program has served in the military. The treatment our clients receive can be tailored to each individual rather than being a template for all.

Our clients remain on site for the duration of their program. This eliminates the need to commute to and from the facility, allowing them to focus on their treatment.

We treat both substance use and mental health conditions. For many of the Veterans who attend our program, substance use and mental health issues are intertwined. We treat issues such as alcohol addiction, drug addiction, opioid dependence, PTSD, depression, anxiety, and co-occurring disorders.

Trauma-informed care is implemented into every aspect of our program. Accelerated Resolution Therapy (ART) is our main trauma therapy, but Seeking Safety, Helping Men Recover, Helping Women Recover, Contingency Management, and Medication-Assisted Treatment are also used as needed. Additionally, our Battle Dawgs partnership organizes wellness activities for our clients.
