Every step of our program is designed with military culture in mind. Our clinical and leadership team is made up largely of Veterans who understand the invisible wounds of service. We accept TRICARE and TriWest, and we handle all insurance verification on your behalf so you can focus entirely on your recovery.

Our program is built around the specific needs of Veterans and active-duty service members. We combine evidence-based trauma therapies – including CBT, DBT and ART – with proven curricula such as Helping Men Recover, Helping Women Recover, Seeking Safety, and Contingency Management. Weekly wellness activities bring holistic healing and peer connection into the heart of treatment.
Our small homes – maximum 6 residents each – are set on 2 private acres in Wasilla, AK, providing the calm, structured environment that supports real healing. Gender-separate facilities ensure every resident feels safe and understood throughout their stay.

How Can I Pay for Treatment?
Most Veterans and active-duty service members at Hope Valley pay little to nothing out of pocket. There are three ways in: a VA direct referral, TriWest through the VA Community Care Network, or active-duty TRICARE. Our admissions team verifies your exact benefits before admission, at no charge.
VA Direct Referral
Most veterans come directly from the VA. We handle your referral and authorization.
TriWest or Self-Pay
Veterans accepted via TriWest, with self-pay also available. We verify your benefits before admission.
Active Duty TRICARE
TRICARE accepted for active-duty clients, with verification handled for you.
Many rehab centers advertise that “insurance is accepted,” but the fine print often reveals you must bill your insurance yourself. That leaves you responsible for the full cost upfront. We bill directly, so you do not carry that risk.
At Hope Valley, there is no fine print when we say your coverage is accepted. We verify your benefits for veterans and active-duty military personnel and let you know exactly what to expect in terms of out-of-pocket costs before your admission.
We never charge you more than your copay or your deductible for the services provided. We maximize the authorizations from TriWest or TRICARE.
