TRICARE / TriWest Addiction & Mental Health Rehab
Ready to help yourself, or someone you care about, find a way forward? Hope Valley Health & Wellness treats addiction and mental health together, with medically supervised detox, residential rehab, and trauma-informed care built specifically for Veterans and active-duty service members. Whether you are reaching out for your own recovery or you are the spouse, parent, friend, or fellow service member who noticed something was wrong, you are in the right place.
We work through TRICARE and TriWest, and for most Veterans that coverage means little to no out-of-pocket cost. Our admissions team verifies your exact benefits for you, at no charge, so you know where you stand before committing to anything.
Recovery happens in small, gender-separate homes of no more than six residents, set on private acreage in rural Wasilla, Alaska. That distance from daily triggers and noise is what lets the real work begin. Every member of our team understands military service from the inside, and care here is trauma-informed at every step. Call (907) 318-2180 for a free, confidential benefits check and a clear path forward.

Experience Recovery in Alaska
Effective, Compassionate Treatment
Hope Valley offers one of the very few rehab programs exclusively developed for Veterans and Active Duty service members, where they will reside together and experience treatment together as a single unit throughout their stay.
We offer specialized services designed to meet the specific needs and challenges of Veterans and active service members, such as trauma yoga, trauma-informed equine therapy facilitated by a Licensed Therapist, a weekly trauma therapy group facilitated by an LCSW, trauma-based curriculum, massage, acupuncture, and daily gym access, to name a few.
We are a VA Community Care Partner and are in-network with TriWest and TriCare Insurances.
What Sets Us Apart
Hope Valley is Here to Help
Why Choose Our Treatment Program?
Recovery is easier in a space set apart from the pressures of everyday life. Our residential setting in Wasilla, Alaska is built for that:
- A dedicated environment. Treatment happens on quiet, rural acreage, a real break from the people, places, and daily routines tied to using, so you can focus fully on getting well.
- Whole-person, evidence-based and holistic care. Your treatment is tailored to you, drawing on proven therapies like Accelerated Resolution Therapy (ART), CBT, DBT, and Seeking Safety.
- Privacy to heal. A residential program gives you the space and confidentiality to do the work without the distractions and pressures waiting at home.
Family Therapy and Support
At Hope Valley, we believe that family involvement can play a crucial role in recovery. To support this, we offer convenient family therapy sessions via Zoom, allowing your loved ones to be actively involved.
I am a Veteran, How Can I Get Help?

FAQs
How Can I Pay for Treatment?
Many alcohol and drug rehab centers advertise that “insurance is accepted,” but the fine print often reveals you must bill your insurance yourself. This means they are not preferred providers, leaving you responsible for the full cost upfront - a major risk when facing tens of thousands in expenses during early recovery.
At Hope Valley, we make payment simple and secure for veterans and active-duty military:
Most of the veterans and service members we treat pay little to nothing out of pocket. Here are the three paths in:
VA Direct Referral
Most veterans come to us referred directly by the VA, which authorizes and covers the care. Typically no out-of-pocket cost.
TriWest (VA Community Care)
Veterans can use their VA benefits at Hope Valley through TriWest, the VA Community Care Network in Alaska. Most pay nothing out of pocket.
Active-Duty TRICARE
TRICARE covers active-duty service members, and most pay little to nothing out of pocket. We verify your exact benefits for you.
Whichever path applies, our admissions team confirms your coverage and tells you any out-of-pocket amount before admission, at no charge. If you don't have coverage or prefer to self-pay, call us for a confidential conversation about options and cost.
At Hope Valley, there is no fine print when we say your coverage is accepted. We verify benefits for veterans and active-duty military, telling you exactly what out-of-pocket expenses to expect during pre-admission.
We never charge more than your copay or deductible for covered services and maximize authorizations from TriWest or TRICARE.
Billing your insurance is handled entirely by us, so you can focus on recovery. In most cases TriWest/Tricare cover up to 100% of costs with zero out-of-pocket. Call Us Now for a confidential verification and begin your journey today.
If you do not have insurance or prefer self-pay, please reach out for a confidential call to discuss treatment options and costs for veterans and active-duty military at Hope Valley.
