Veterans Treatment Program Serving Palmer, Alaska

There is a difference between a treatment program that accepts Veterans and one that is built around them. Hope Valley is the latter type of program. The clinical and leadership team behind Hope Valley has deep roots in both military service and behavioral healthcare. The curriculum utilized within the program, including Accelerated Resolution Therapy (ART) for trauma, Seeking Safety, Helping Men Recover and Helping Women Recover, and Contingency Management, has been specifically selected with the Veteran population in mind.

The residential treatment for Veterans takes place in small, gender-separate homes on two private acres of land. Each home can only accommodate up to six residents at a time. This is a deliberate choice to keep the environment tight and focused, without the noise and anonymity of larger programs.

The range of conditions treated within the Hope Valley program includes alcohol and drug addiction, opioid dependence, PTSD, depression, anxiety, and co-occurring disorders. Most of these disorders have a root in trauma, which is why ART is the primary tool used within the program to address this root cause.

Additionally, the program includes weekly experiential activities through its partnership with Battle Dawgs to further promote holistic wellness among its residents.
